I practice at the Island Golf in Anaheim, this long weekend.

Instead of hitting ball to the grass, you hit into the water.

There were a few floating greens but my balls always got into the water!!

Yesterday we went to beach, today I though we continue the "Free Stuff" weekend theme. Everything we'll do today is within 15 mins drive from our home. So we started with morning golf at Rancho Park then Santa Monica 3rd st. and probably finish with swimming at the park near our home.

Singapore Airline organize asian festival at 3rd st. Santa Monica. There were foods, dancing and of course Singapore new A380 flight promotion. We decided to took a pretend trip to Singapore haha sorry daddy can only afford pretend trip!!

Here we're in First Class - sleeping bed, sofa, big screen TV etc.

Here in Business class - super big chair can fit one old guy and a silly boy!! Seat recline 180 deg become bed too.

Awesome weather for the beach, decided to take Mr. Ethan to Manhattan Beach. Took us forever to find "free" street parking. We strolled around looking at beach homes then tried to swim and surf a bit but mostly we was just running around and building sand castles.

Humungas would be understatement for this place. There was hundren of thousand people on that day waiting to get in (no joke) but still can not fill the whole place up.

We elected to by pass most of the palace and walk straight to exit, which still take us more than an hour to get out

i had such a great time in Suzhou visiting tina ethan amber, other than eating good food at this nice restaurant next to the lake we also went to nanjing and mountain near suzhou too..

this is one of the tourist place in nanjing, don't remember the name of it but it was very nice. we probably walk up and down stairs more than we ever did

We ate a lot of expensive seafood, thai restaurant, street foods you name it. But we found this really great (cheap) place in middle of the hills, foods was ok but the view and atmosphere was spectacular. We were the only customer at the time - awesome!!

Phuket - Phi Phi Don Island

Ok I know what you're thinking - Phi Phi sound like pee-pee..haha I must admit that what I was thinking too =) Still don't know why it call Phi Phi, perhaps thai people just miss spell pee-pee

This island is 1.5 hr ferry ride from Phuket, super busy, lots of tourist. Nice beach and lots of topless women walking around - too bad I could take any picture of them (for obvious reason- Tina !!)

Phi Phi Lay Islands - just next to Phi Phi Don. There is no beach for swimming here just islands. You can actually take a small boat or canoe and go around in side caves n' stuff

We stayed in Phuket 5 nights just relax and pass our time with small activities in the hotel everyday. One of the activities is shirt painting, only Tina has patient to sit and paint for hours - way to go mommy =P

Of all activities we spend most of our time in the swimming pools. There were 3 pools altogether so we swam in all of them ^_^

Bangkok - river taxi

We took tourist ferry for sightseeing and to temple which only cost like 15bath/person SUPER CHEAP

But on the way back to the hotel we couldn't get any ferry so I decided to take river taxi, aka the long tail boat, back to hotel. It cost 500bath (chuck) SUPER EXPENSIVE

But it was worth it \(^_^)/

we went to Expo in Shanghai which was great except it was dead tried because of the kids and lot of people there

By far the chinese building was the coolest and busiest of all

Since Ethan loves train so much we decide to take a speed train to Shanghai, needless to say he was very excited to be on the speed train

It usual take 1.5 hrs to drive to Shanghai from Suzhou but the train only take 20 mins, see the speed display 304km/hr. Oh one more thing Tina told me you can always find hot water in china which is so true see the picture, the lady is getting hot water on the speed train for her instant noodle. apparently it quite ok to eat (hot) instant noodle on speed train hihi..

We went to have noodle for breakfast one morning, apparently it quite common to eat noodle and dumpling for breakfast in Suzhou. the place was in old town area very old style, very cool place.

The noodle was excellent, i was told noodle was handmade when you eat it you can totally feel it was different and texture was perfect. the pork soup is to die for warm, light, aroma, and super tasty...uh make me hungry.

We stay with Tina's brother, his apt. complex is next to the lake and have gardens and playground so the kids really love it. We take time to walk around everyday when it was not raining.

China Trip

Amber was excited to be on the plane at first, then she became so fussy and need to be hold most of the time...yike!!

Ethan was good as usual, the flight was at least 13 hrs but he found the way to keep busy by watching video, playing games. He actually spend at least a couple of hours just reading the safety and emergency exit guide

Goodbye Summer

Wow it seem like yesterday, early May when summer was just around the corner. Back then we decided that the whole family would enjoy the summer to fullest. Well 4 months later summer is now in the rear view mirror. A few trip to Palm Springs, San Diego, Beaches, theme parks, water parks, museum,gardens, visiting friends, countless of outlet malls shopping, drive-in movies. We really enjoyed our summer as we intended. Summer '10 was truly the one to remember =)

As much as we enjoyed spending time outside this summer. We also found the simplest pleasure moments when we stay HOME...

Outdoor Movies

I really want to take the kids to drive-in movie this summer, but didn't have a chance until a couple weeks ago. By then it was already feel cold at night anyway we enjoy it. Here we went to Century City watching Karate Kid (the original) Mr. Miyaki hihi..

A week later we went to drive-in at city of industry, good thing we brought a lot of pillow and blankets so eventhough it was a bit cold we all just snuggle together. Amber just couldn't stay still keep moving everywhere but there was a moment when she came snuggle with me. it only last for a second but i will probably remember it for a long time. Just like I remember the firs time I took Ethan here years ago.

Legoland San Diego

We took the kids to Legoland in San Diego last weekend, everyone had fun. Ethan had the most fun of course, so much that he didn't want to leave. Even had a bad dream about leaving Legoland during the ride back, he kept crying and Tina&I just keep laughing it was so funny.

Palm Spring weekend

We found ourselves in Palm Spring for the 2nd time this summer. We stayed at a new Westin Villa which was nice, we love everything except the swimming pool because ethan can not use the slide (min 48")

Found new seafood restaurant call crab pot, fun place for kid who like to play with hammer..funny thing was other than our table all the customers are kind of really old folks (not that there's anything wrong with it)

Before we left I decide to go grocery shopping and cook breakfast for everyone, try to utilize the full kitchen in the room and of course save $$ on the buffet haha..

Angeles Flight is a really short ride, the ticket is cheap too, only $25 one way.

It located on 3rd street and hill street, be ready to pay $5 parking or if you are lucky enough, u can get a street parking. Don't go during the weekday because the parking will be really expensive.

They will have some summer concert next month, go and check it out. really peaceful place in the heart of downtown.

We all went to Palm Spring for Mother's day weekend, as always we stayed at Westin Mission Hills but this time we stayed in the villa. The room kind of like small 1-bedroom apt. with kitchen, laundry etc. I think the only time we use the kitchen was to boil water for Amber and make Ethan popcorn =P
